You have 27 more days to file for your PFD. Did you remember to Pick.Click.Give.? It is not to late to make a donation to Love INC of the Kenai Peninsula. So far, 40 individuals have pledged $2,200.00. Our goal is to reach $3,000.00, Can you help us reach our goal?!
Love INC of the Kenai Peninsula would like to thank the Kenai Peninsula Foundation and The Alaska Community Foundation for their $500.00 grant to help provide support services for families in need. Last year, Love INC provided services to over 200 families in our community. Without the support of our community, many of these needs would go unmet.
Thank you to Jane Stein and Candace Winkler for your continued support of our programs.
Be Blessed, Be a Blessing,

Yesterday was the official Boss’s Day, but today we will give our shout-out to our boss, Leslie Rohr! Leslie became the Executive Director in July of 2010, and now can no longer pull our often humorous response of “I’m new here!”
In fact, her sense of humor has been one of the many facets of our boss that has helped us all deal with the levity of the issues we face day to day. Her medical knowledge has been an invaluable resource when we face requests for medical assistance, and her knowledge of the community resources and prior connections with these resources has helped make this organization known and understood within the community. Leslie is someone who has personal experience walking through difficult times and is able to balance empathy with encouragement. She has shown us how to go beyond the “hand-out” to the “hand-up.”
We would like to thank you, Leslie, for the work that you do and the way that you do it. We pray for you and your family to continue to be a light for Jesus in our community.
The First Baptist Church, Kenai is sponsoring a program at the Merit Inn, continuing the summer USDA program into the school year. Because it is not summer any longer (not a difficult observation to make!), the USDA sponsorship has concluded. Pastor Davis and his congregation felt the need was still there to continue this project and have maintained this feeding program in faith. They are now operating on donations and volunteer basis. Adults do pay $3, but children are still free! Would you consider giving your time one night to help prepare and/or serve? Would you consider giving any funds to support this vital ministry? Will you pray with us for this group and those they serve? To find out more information about The Way Cafe or First Baptist Church in Kenai, just click the logo above!
To read more about it, Redoubt Reporter did an article last August that gives a tremendous look at the work done. Thank you, too Redoubt Reporter!! Click on the link above to read it!
We would love to have a portable basketball hoop, like this one, at the Family Hope Center at the Merit Inn! We have families with older children in transition who would benefit from this activity. If you would like to help by donating one, or raising funds for this resource, please contact us at 283-0262!
Would you consider donating $25 from your PFD towards this gift? We will be happy to provide a receipt for tax purposes.
