Yesterday was the official Boss’s Day, but today we will give our shout-out to our boss, Leslie Rohr! Leslie became the Executive Director in July of 2010, and now can no longer pull our often humorous response of “I’m new here!”
In fact, her sense of humor has been one of the many facets of our boss that has helped us all deal with the levity of the issues we face day to day. Her medical knowledge has been an invaluable resource when we face requests for medical assistance, and her knowledge of the community resources and prior connections with these resources has helped make this organization known and understood within the community. Leslie is someone who has personal experience walking through difficult times and is able to balance empathy with encouragement. She has shown us how to go beyond the “hand-out” to the “hand-up.”
We would like to thank you, Leslie, for the work that you do and the way that you do it. We pray for you and your family to continue to be a light for Jesus in our community.
